Upgrading version 10.0.12 to 11.2.2
AnsweredHi,
A couple days a go we tried to upgrade Cerberus to the new version 11.2.2, but found some problems to authenticate user from Active Directory.
We have external and internal users (with Active Directory authentication), we were using FileZilla to connect Active Directory users with Cerberus servers, before running the upgrade the connection worked very good, external users worked too.
After running the upgrade only external users worked good, we had some troubles with the Active Directory users.
When tried to connect internal user with FileZilla we got the following errors:
* Error: Authentication failed.
* Error: Critical error: Could not connect to server
On the Cerberus serve side the log showed the following errors:
* Unable to find directory object 'LDAP://DomainName/DC=DomainName" : A referral was returned from server
* Could not authenticate Native user 'my user name' : Unable to find user 'my user name'
* Unable to retrieve attributes for AD user 'my user name' : No groups matching required security group name "FTP group" were found on domain 'Domain'
The errors indicates us the new version of Cerberus server cannot contact Active Directory servers and cannot read the internal users and group to obtain the connections permissions, although we reviewed and checked the upgrade notice after the upgrade was done.
We will appreciate any advice to fix this issue.
Best regards,
Manuel Galdamez

In version 11 of Cerberus FTP Server we have made some changes to the backend that require you to use the FQDN of the server instead of the short/NETBIOS name
