Feature Request: upload file(s) via generated public link
AnsweredCerberus FTP server has a great feature of generating a public link so the end user can download a file without logging in. However, we often face a reverse case when the user needs to upload a file(s). And in many cases, this is a one-time deal for that user. Regardless we must create an account for that user to send us data. We obviously do not want to allow anonymous uploading for security reasons.
Desired feature: be able to generate a secure link for a particular local folder. The link will have a limited life span. The server will send an email with that link to the user who will upload a file(s) without logging in.

I like it. I hadn't thought of it before, but with hindsight, I can see a number of times I'd have chosen this route instead of having them create an account.

Hi, Eugene.
If I'm understanding you correctly. It seems the simple workaround would be the password to protect the share when you create it. You then will need to share to password and the link with the user needing to upload the file.

Yes , I agree and eager to have this feature.
If we can generate public link instead of create account and also the public link with retention period and password protected , it will be very helpful.

Hello,
Could I ask how this would differentiate from the options already available within the Public Share features already available?
In the options, there is the ability to both password protect, and set a time of expiry.
Then in the next window, you will be able to set permissions for uploading and downloading.
In the next window, you will be able to dictate the email you wish to receive the public share link.
Also of note, is the ability to utilize hidden uploads, which you can read more about here: https://www.cerberusftp.com/version-12-public-share-improvements/
Just want to make sure I can take note of what is desired that is not included in the current processes!
Thanks!
