SMTP Notification when uploading a file
Hi,
One of our users requested the ability to have the option to send an email notification to specific user(s) upon uploading a file within a folder. Is it possible to have a checkbox or dialog appear when a user begins to upload a file to notify a particular user(s)?
Today, they would need to generate a separate email from their company email account to notify a user that they have placed a file in an existing share. When adding individual files, we would like to notify different users which could be accomplished easily if there was an option to send SMTP message after successful upload. An email template could also be customizable within the setting page and would be triggered once the check box to 'enable SMTP notification on successful upload' was selected.

- What is the problem that this feature would fix? Unable to notify users when a file is uploaded to a directory. User would like to send an email through their email client outside of Cerberus
- Why is it a problem? It is time consuming to have to notify users by opening a new email message, drafting the message and sending it. If there was a configurable email template and option to select during file upload to notify user(s), this would reduce overall efforts and improve efficiency
- Is there a workaround you currently have for this problem? Use company email client
- Do you have a suggestion on how you would like to see the problem fixed? Yes, previously described
- How big is the problem? Who is affected by this problem (End Users, Admins, etc.)? End users who are uploading files are affected
