Improvements to Scheduled Run Times
What is the problem that this feature would fix?
More granularity required within Cerberus. The ability to schedule tasks on specific dates. Recently learned that monthly jobs within Cerberus is a fixed 30 days. This caused jobs to run a day earlier than when our files were generated.
Also, the ability to customize run times throughout the week. Ideally, we have a couple jobs that would be best run Tuesday - Saturday instead of weekdays only.
Why is it a problem?
We have certain reports that are generated on fixed dates throughout the month. These reports have to be transferred to insurance and billing companies within a specific time window to be processed correctly and in a timely fashion. Without the ability to schedule a monthly set date for jobs, this creates more work to configure a set run time for each month for a scheduled task.
Is there a workaround you currently have for this problem?
Yes, to manually add in each month's date as a scheduled run time. However, we will eventually have around 30 jobs that this feature will apply to, creating a more administrative oversight to ensure jobs run on correct days.
Do you have a suggestion on how you would like to see the problem fixed?
Yes, add the ability to select recurring tasks to run monthly on a specified date.
How big is the problem? Who is affected by this problem (End Users, Admins, etc.)?
Admins.
