Account Expiration Date

Using the web console for creating new user account we used to be able to set a "Disable Date" during the account creation process, you can't anymore (not sure when it changed as I don't normally use the web console), it is a separate process after the account has been created.
Because the accounts in one particular group need to be expired 6 months after creation would it be possible to add a feature so that when an account is created with a certain group membership it would have a 6 month (configurable) lifespan from the date of creation to save me having to do it manually each time?
