Enable event target to smb/cifs shares

I'd like to be able to trigger an event target which would use a username and password to put a file on the windows cifs destination share.  

use case is people want to use pub/priv certificates instead of passwords for file transfers but the destinations are all on netapp servers.  I work around this now by creating a local account, which accepts the certificate, then on upload triggers an event which fires an event target to put it back onto the local server using the username and password which passes through to the CIFS share and authenticates against active directory.  Its kludgey but works.  Would be much better especially for logging and audit if we could just put directly on the share using the event target.  Thanks
