Enhance Zip Operation to allow for multiple file archive to single zip file
- What is the problem that this feature would fix?
- Current Zip operation only allows for the archiving/zipping of a single file at a time. A filename must be passed with each file that is actioned upon.
- Why is it a problem?
- A key benefit of archiving/zipping is to take many files and zip them into a single file for less complex processing as well as logically having related files together in a single zip (e.g. All today's files are zipped into a file called today.zip)
- Is there a workaround you currently have for this problem?
- Yes, but it makes our technology landscape more complex and increases error probability because we are forced to solution outside of the Cerberus platform
- Do you have a suggestion on how you would like to see the problem fixed?
- Yes, allow the operation to specify all of the native switches/parameters available in Windows today
- How big is the problem? Who is affected by this problem (End Users, Admins, etc.)?
- All users are affected by the problem
Thank you for your consideration!
