console service is already running in another session

I am getting the error: "The Ceberus FTP Server console is already running in another session. Please shutdown the Cerberus console in that session before trying to start another."

How do I make it so that we can have multiple console sessions? (We are currently on version 8.)

    Hello Eric,

     

    You can override the default behavior by passing the flag -AllowMultipleInstances on the command line when launching the CerberusGUI.exe application. 

    Please note that we do not recommend or support using the Cerberus desktop UI concurrently.  Web administration is the preferred method for concurrent admin control of Cerberus FTP Server.   We are working on making it so you can launch the UI from multiple concurrent sessions in a future major release, but we don't have a release schedule yet.

    Please note that version 8.0 is no longer maintained or supported.  I highly recommend upgrading to 10.0 as soon as possible.
