Login report and cipher for SFTP
Reading the login report I find the ciphers used by server and client:
C2S: aes256-ctr, hmac-md5, S2C: aes256-ctr, hmac-md5 (in this particular session) |
They match, naturally.
Looking at the available chipers, (all choosen) for a suitable candidate to remove
in order to improve security I am at a loss.
For https I rely on ssllabs.com to provide me with an accessment but SFTP is a different story.
How to evaluate the ciphers from good to bad for SFTP?

Hello, Krister.
I think a good starting point for making your SFTP server secure can be found here.
This should give you some insight on which ciphers that you should use.
