Change User Manager Policy

Hello,
we want to change the settings in the User Manager.
Currently we have no Password Complexity Requirements, Password Change Policy or Password History enabled.
If we activate this now, these settings will take effect on all existing accounts immediately or only after login or password change?
I have read Password Complexity Requirements will only take effect after a password change. Is this correct?
How does it work with Password Change Policy or Password History?

  Yes, a user will be required to comply with the requirements during their next password change. 

   

  The password change policy is applied immediately. If a user meets the requirements they all have to change their password on the next login.
