How to Schedule an Event to Sync files from Offsite sFTP to local file directory
How do you setup an event with a "Get a File" action to download/sync all the files from a remote SFTP account to local folder?

Hello Edward,
Thank you for reaching out. When using both the Send a File and Get a File features, you would need to use the exact file path and filename. You can't use wildcards or regex there. This feature is in the first stage of it's evolution. We are looking for more ways to make it more granular with the ability to pull files from other FTP servers, but at the moment it is in its infancy and can only get a specific filename and path.

Thank you Jeff. Does this mean we cannot pull all files/folders from a SFTP root to a local directory?
If this is possible, how do we fill the "File Path From:" and "File Path To:" fields?

Hi Edward,
That is correct, you cannot pull all files/folders from another FTP Server. It may be helpful to read the blog post our development team wrote about the 'Get a File' feature. https://www.cerberusftp.com/new-get-a-file-feature-in-cerberus-ftp-server-12-1/

I am trying the same thing with now version 13. Has this changed since the original post?

Hello Jonathon,
The 'Get A File' function remains the same as it was in this post. But we have added some additional tools in regards to other event automation with version 13 that you can read about here:
